QuickBooks Online knows what you sold and what is on the shelf. It does not tell you what to buy. Lancaster Purchasing in ChatGPT will turn three standard QuickBooks reports into a purchasing workbook: what to reorder, how much, when each item runs out, and how every number was worked out.

How it will work

Connect Lancaster Purchasing
Create a Lancaster account and connect Lancaster Purchasing in ChatGPT.

Get three reports
Product/Service List, Sales by Product/Service Detail for the last 36 months, and Open Purchase Order Detail. Export them yourself, or let ChatGPT fetch them in your own browser.

Get the workbook
Give the files to ChatGPT. Lancaster Purchasing builds the workbook and returns a download link.
Good to know
- Free to start. You sign up for a Lancaster account to use it.
- Needs QuickBooks Online Plus or Advanced, with inventory tracking turned on. Each report can be up to 10 MB (about 175,000 sales lines); for a larger file, export fewer months.
- We keep the reports you upload, stored against your Lancaster account, to build your workbooks and to improve your forecasts and our service. Workbooks are kept 7 days. We do not sell or share your reports, and we do not use them to train outside AI models.
- To have them deleted, email us asking us to "delete my data". We then delete your uploaded reports.
- We never sign in to QuickBooks or change anything in it. Prefer to keep everything on your computer? An offline version is available on request.
