A purchasing workbook for Shopify
Shopify knows what sold and what is on the shelf. It does not tell you what to buy. Export three CSV files from Shopify admin and Purchase Planning in ChatGPT turns them into a reorder plan. Nothing to install in your store.

Reorder levels, where you keep them, are typed by hand and stay put when demand changes.
Working it out in a spreadsheet every week takes hours.
How it works

Create a free account
Sign up, pick Shopify as your system, and add Purchase Planning in ChatGPT as the setup page shows. Claude setup is coming shortly.

Export three CSV files
- Products: Products > Export. Choose All products and CSV for Excel, Numbers, or other spreadsheet programs, then Export products.
- Inventory: Products > Inventory > Export, All locations and All states, as CSV.
- Orders: Orders > Export, by date from 3 years ago (at least 12 months) to today, as CSV. Shopify emails the file to the store owner.
- Optional: Shopify cannot export purchase orders, so type the ones not yet received into a sheet with PO Number, Supplier, SKU, Quantity, Received and Expected arrival.
- Keep the files as Shopify sends them; don't edit the columns. Every variant needs a SKU; variants without one are left out.

Get the workbook
In ChatGPT, attach the files in the chat, ask what to reorder and download the workbook.
Good to know
- Free to start, and set up entirely by you: no call with us. Real data only; there is no sample mode.
- When you tell it to create a purchase order, Purchase Planning builds it, one per vendor, for you to send to your supplier. Purchase Planning works from your exported files, so nothing is written to Shopify.
- We keep a copy of your uploads for your company, holding only the columns we use (customer names and contact details are not kept). Workbooks are kept 7 days. Each company sees only its own uploads.
- Delete account on your account page removes your uploads and workbooks.
